Full Text Man Page Searching

February 12th, 2007

I have added full text man page searching to this site. Right now I only have Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.4 man pages, but I plan on adding as many operating systems (and distributions) as possible in the future. Here is the man page searching interface. You can also browse for commands that start with letters like G for example.

There are two ways to search by editing the URL directly. This is the method I use as I think its faster.

  1. If you know the name of a command place it after cmd= in the following URL
    http://bashcurescancer.com/man/?cmd=
  2. Otherwise place the term or terms you would like to search for after t= in the following URL
    http://bashcurescancer.com/man/?t=
