NAME
       clear - clear the terminal screen

SYNOPSIS
       clear

DESCRIPTION
       clear  clears  your screen if this is possible.	It looks in the envi-
       ronment for the terminal type and then in  the  terminfo	 database  to
       figure out how to clear the screen.
